Why Passkeys?

A passkey is a modern sign-in method stored by your device (or password manager). Instead of typing a password, you approve a sign-in with Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello, or your device lock screen.

  • No passwords to forget: you don’t need to reset or manage passwords.
  • Phishing resistant: passkeys are tied to the real site you’re visiting, which helps prevent “lookalike” login scams.
  • Stronger by default: you get strong authentication without needing special rules.
  • Better multi-device experience: passkeys can sync across your devices through your OS/password manager.

If your passkeys sync (for example with iCloud Keychain or Google Password Manager), you can often sign in from another device automatically.
